After 25 years in the financial services industry, Effie Santos followed her heart and took action to help non-profits address the disconnect between companies and non-profits. So, she launched Red Root Strategies.
“Red is the heart. Root is the connections. That’s how the name came about,” explained Effie.

Effie shares some tips on areas non-profits organizations should focus on. Being very transparent with their communication is key.
“Be a real person. We instinctively do that with people we care about, and I think that is sound advice,” shared Dennis Hartin.
